Joey Baron
Co-Founder and Executive Director

For the past five years, Joey has produced a series of Jewish music events to support Temple Aliyah, Needham, MA and the North Shore Chabad, Swampscott, MA. He is also an award-winning brand strategist and advertising creative director for such clients as the Boston Jewish Film Festival, the Jewish Discovery Institute, the New England Aquarium, AARP, the Massachusetts Chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation and the ASPCA. He has also served as the Executive Director of the Newton Community Schools Program coordinating over 1200 educational programs annually.

Jim Ball
Co-Founder and Communications Director

Jim Ball, BJMF’s Director of Communications, has practiced public relations, marketing and strategic communications in the public and private sectors for nearly 30 years. He’s served in positions in state government, the Boston City Council, Harvard University, and for several private firms. Long active in the greater Boston Jewish community, Jim is member of the Union for Reform Judaism’s North American Board of Trustees. He’s also used his skills on many non-profit boards and organizations, including the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, WGBH Community Advisory Board, the Mayyim Hayyim Men’s Initiative, and InterfaithFamily.com. A trained musician, Jim also sings in Koleinu, Greater Boston’s Jewish Community Choir.
