About

The Boston Jewish Music Festival was conceived and created by Joey Baron and Jim Ball in 2009, and presented its first week-long series of concerts in March 2010. The first such large scale Jewish music festival in Boston, more than 12,000 people have attended Festival concerts, workshops and events in its first two years.

The BJMF is small, entrepreneurial non-profit cultural organization dedicated to presenting outstanding Jewish music in all its forms to the Greater Boston community. Through the presentation of musical concerts, workshops and educational forums, we use creative marketing and collaboration with all who share our vision and interest, seeking to deepen the understanding of and appreciation for Jewish culture and tradition. With partnerships and participation from more than 25 community organizations, the BJMF has become a national model for cultural presentation.

The BJMF is incorporated as a non-profit in Massachusetts, with a Board of Directors and additional support from a diverse Board of Advisors. The organization is managed managed by Joey Baron, Executive Director, and Jim Ball, Director of Communications.

We welcome your support, your interest and participation.
