Singer, composer, actress, and cantor, Rosalie Gerut is the daughter of Holocaust survivors and cofounder of One by One, an international, nonproit anti-racism organization established by the children of both survivors and members of the Nazi Regime. Rosalie’s father and grandfather were Yiddishists and folk musicians; she has carried on the tradition. Accompanied by renowned musician and ethnomusicologist, Hankus Netsky, the concert will feature a lifetime of Jewish music, from folksongs her grandfather sang to recent compositions for musical theatre including ART’s production, Schlemiel the First.
